The Academy

The South of the River Learning Academy (SORLA) is offered by the staff development departments of Burnsville-Eagan-Savage, Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan, Farmington, Shakopee, Northfield, Bloomington, Lakeville, New Prague, and Eden Prairie Area Schools and is open to all teachers in or out of these districts. Learner's Edge has partnered with SORLA to offer graduate credit to academy attendee's.

The academy offers over 70 workshop sessions which include the four Minnesota relicensure areas along with reading, writing, math, the brain, classroom management, instructional strategies, listening skills, and more.

General information for SORLA 2012 will be posted in February at www.sorla.us.

Conference Credit (Plymouth and Lakeville)

In cooperation with the University of St. Thomas and Augustana College, Learner's Edge Inc. is pleased to offer graduate credit options for your participation in SORLA conferences and completion of related materials.

To earn university/college credit, visit the Learner's Edge Inc. table at the academy or for a registration form, click here.  Registration forms for graduate credit will also be available at the SORLA website. (NOTE: Credit cost is NOT included in the SORLA per session fee).
