Description: Experience a number of unique learning venues in your backyard! Travel to sites that can be used by educators in a variety of ways; a resource for your students, a field experience site, and a resource for professional growth. Guided tours and exploration will invite you to incorporate the activities and sites into your school programs. These unique courses will inspire you to "Expand" your teaching "Beyond the Classroom Walls."

Sites: Durham Western Heritage Museum's "Ollie The Trolley Gritty City Tour", Omaha Orpheum, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, UNL Mueller Planetarium, UNL Morrill Hall State Museum, Lincoln Children's Museum, Wildlife Safari Park, Holy Family Shrine, El Museo Latino, 88Improv Comedy Workshop, Omaha Community Playhouse Production, Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, Ted & Wally's Ice Cream.

These courses are considered as continuing education by CSC and are eligible for CSC in-service credit.  Typically, these courses are not degree eligible. However, after review by the CSC academic program, they  may be degree eligible at CSC depending upon the academic program selected by the student.  Neither CSC nor LEI guarantee these courses will transfer into degree programs at other colleges or universities.
